TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Fishing and Hunting Areas

Area 1

That part of Québec whose perimeter is as follows:

Starting from the meeting point of the south shore of the St. Lawrence River and of the extension of the western limit of the right of way of the Sainte-Flavie – Amqui – Matapédia segment of route No. 132; thence, southeasterly, along that extension and that western limit to the right bank of rivière Matapédia; thence, southerly, along that right bank, passing along the right bank of lac au Saumon, and its extension to the Québec – New Brunswick border; thence, easterly along that border to the downstream side of the Campbellton; thence, northwesterly, along that downstream side to the seacoast of the Gaspé Peninsula; thence, in a general easterly, northerly and westerly direction, along this seacoast to the starting point.

Those parts of the watercourses situated between their mouth at the St. Lawrence River, the Gulf of St. Lawrence or Baie des Chaleurs and the limits indicated in the following table are excluded from the territory described above and are incorporated into Area 21:

                             coordinates are: 49º15′00″N, 65º19′30″W and 
                             another point situated at pointe de la Dune, to the 
                             east of the river, whose geographical coordinates
                             are: 49º14′55″N, 65º19′25″W

Rivière Bonaventure          The downstream side of route No. 132

Rivière Petite               The downstream side of the bridge on boulevard 
Cascapédia                   Perron

Rivière Cascapédia           The downstream side of the pillars of the bridge on 
                             the former course of route No. 132

Rivière Nouvelle             A straight line perpendicular to the flow and 
                             passing through the mouth of ruisseau de la Cloche 
                             whose U.T.M. coordinates are: 
                             5 332 500  mN and 702 480 mE

Rivière Matane               The downstream side of the bridge on route No. 132
